Diabetes Diagnosis Led to a New Leash on Life

Ask the Lord to lead you. His guidance will provide the new leash you need in your life. It will sustain you through the most challenging times, and it will be your shield from evil, harm, and danger. The greatest advice, peace, comfort, wisdom, and hope come from scriptures in the Bible. Psalm 23 sums it up best!
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd (to feed, guide, and shield me), I shall not lack.
He makes me to lie down in (fresh, tender) green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.
He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness (upright and right standing with Him-not for my earning it, but) for His name’s sake.
Yes, though I walk through the (deep, sunless) valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no dread or evil, for You are with me; Your rod (to protect) and Your staff (to guide), they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my (brimming) cup runs over.
Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord (and His presence) shall be my dwelling place.
To God be the glory for all He has done, and for all He will continue to do for us, so long as we ask Him, and believe in Him.
A Walk with HOPE, Diabetes’s Best Friend

This cleverly written fiction book is meant to educate people of all ages about diabetes. The delightful animals in the story have a unique way of using rhyming words while addressing the seriousness of diabetes.
A Walk with HOPE, Diabetes’s Best Friend is a timeline of finding out about the disease, learning what it takes to manage Diabetes, getting the necessary support and receiving encouragement to cope, while trying to find a cure. The animals portray what diabetics routinely have to do to manage the disease; not wanting to do finger sticks, counting carbs, and taking insulin. HOPE spells out what Diabetes needs. She convinces the animals to support Diabetes and to keep fighting for a cure.
She wrote the book to promote Diabetes Awareness, especially on November 14th since it is World Diabetes Day. Diabetes, though, is a disease that must be taken seriously every day of the year. Her book is a children’s fiction story; however, diabetics and other people of all ages can learn from it.
My Mother’s Graceful Inspiration

This book was written to honor my phenomenal mother. It is about the unwavering sacrifices she has made for her family, the hardships she endured, her faith, persistence, devotion, and perseverance. She has made this world a better place. Her life has truly been filled with amazingly graceful inspiration.
